The biggest weakness of this program is the amount of work that the school does
not do to help it's graduates find jobs. One person is in charge of helping 100
students find a good job. Maybe it was the market, but as of my graduation, we
had about 10 students with jobs. There were plenty of seminars on 'how to get
jobs,' but few company interviews.
In your 4th quarter you do a residency at a sponsor company. Northwestern has
the right to place you anywhere in the US for this, but if you have a specific
place you'd like, they try their best to accomodate you. The residency projects
vary, some students have a great expericnce, and others don't. I didn't. My
role was never determined and by the time they figured out what I should be
doing, my 3 months were up. I'm glad I had that experience though, now I know
what I don't want to do.
