| Full time Graduate program |
The program had a required "residency" program which was required to be
completed for graduating. The school was responsible for matching the students
with the various "sponsors" to the residency program. For an entire quarter
(summer) students would work a pre defined project apporved by the school and
earn credit hours and a grade. The sponsor would be required to pay the tuition
for the quarter for the student.
This added practical training to the program and also opened up doors for net
working opportunities for permanent positions in the future with those employers.
On campus recruting is also a big thing at NWU. I got my first job as a result of
on campus placement and value that a lot as a new graduate. Being a Ivy league
university, it attracts top notch employers who come to recruit fresh talent from
the campus. They make presentations and students can sign up to be interviwed or
are picked by the employer's interest after looking at the resumes. Overall, very
good placements have come out of the program.
