I lived off campus. I always felt safe on campus; day and early evening.
I met friends off campus at night for dining. All of the fast foods are
available. A great brewery is nearby. We made that and a pizza joint our
favorites. Movies abound, including cheapies shown at the university
auditorium. There was always some interesting speaker, or event going
on. You could socialize every night and weekend with something fun to
do. Of course, Flagstaff is known for its closeness to nature. Besides
Grand Canyon, many national parks are within a day's trip.
