| Information Technology certificates |
If you can afford the course tuition, which increases by about $40 to
$60 each semester, you are in. This is, after all, continuing education
(i.e. for people who have been working for some time, but want to keep
up with new technologies). If you decide to apply for a certificate,
however, you do need to go through a process, which depending on how
much the administrators like you, will either be quick or actually take
about 4 months from the time you applied for the certificate. Yes,
sometimes (if you complain about their ineptitude) they may even find
some glitch in your application or coursework, and the certificate will
either prolonged or not given at all (until you satisfy the requirements
to the letter), in spite of the fact that other students (that have
behaved) have been 'waived' some requirements.
