This is New York City, so expect to spend quite a bit on housing. When
I attended, the program did not offer dedicated housing, but students
can make use of the housing office affiliated with the University
(i.e., to search for apartments in the area). Greenwich Village is a
fantastic neighborhood for your studies, and one can get great food at
reasonable prices (and you are not too far away from everything else).
The University's new student center should offer more options for
students during in-between periods during the day, and the Wagner
program will soon re-locate to one dedicated space in the Puck building
on Houston Street (only a few blocks from the main campus). This is a
fantastic space, and one that will allow the Wagner school to finally
be housed in one building. I never had an issue with crime and safety -
but be smart about it. This is NYC!
