Again, since this is a graduate program most students lived in off-
campus housing. Many people were already home-owners and professional
going back to school or they were already settled into an apartment.
Special student housing is availble, however, for graduate students and
I knew of a few that took advantage of this. This program is held in
the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum so it is a very
historic facility and gives you access to some of the rarest applied
arts around. It is very secure and safe. Student houseing, however, can
be anywhere in the Manhattan borough--normally in the Greenwich area or
the East 20s.
