Internships are a part of the program. You cannot graduate without having an
internship. This is often where you make your professional connections and get
the most hands-on experience. They are strongly encouraged and taken very
seriously. Students in this program get the internships that others cannot due to
the reputation of the program. THe school also offers a job fair that brings
former alumni and other professional in for a one day conference/luncheon on
current openings or opportunities that are out there. Alumnus usually give an
account of what they are doing now with their degree which is reassuring to hear
that there is a life after graduate school especially since this is such a
specialized field.
