The school has a hugely popular bar "The Three Tuns" which sees
students unwinding after looking at those PDE's all day long. Given the
restricted space, it is amazing, how many people throng Houghton Street
on Friday evenings, which makes for quite a carnival atmosphere. Of
course, the Friday nite club "The Crush) kicks off, where people come
in to literally get "Crushed" partying to old school beats. Another
popular is the Quad for coffee and then there is the Brunch Bowl for
meals, where you can also sit on the terrace.
The school does not have great sporting facilities but access is given
to other University of London facilites. There are clubs to fulfill any
interest, from social & clubs by country to dance clubs, bridge clubs
etc, all aggressively trying to get you signed up on the open days.
The best part about the LSE though is definitely being in the city of
London. LSE is not far from the City, the palace, Hyde Park, Covent
Garden, the Parliament, a breadth of history, entertainment and social
life. It is impossible not to get caught up in the vibrancy of the City
of London, from it's theaters to it's clubs, from Speaker's Corners
(Hyde park) to the quirkiness of Camden. If you go through your life at
LSE without experiencing London, then it's an incomplete experience.
