| Full-time Master of Science, Economics |
Career prospects are pretty good, the program is the top rated terminal Masters
of Ecomomics degree in the world and is very well respected by all the top firms.
Many investment banks and consultants recruit from LSE. The problem for
Americans lies in that the European recruiting is almost completely separated
from American recruiting, so getting a job back in the states while in London can
be difficult. Getting a job in London or Europe tends to be much easier (provided
you can work there or the employer is willing to sponsor you for a work visa).
The other problem is that there aren't many Masters of Economics programs in the
states, the top Economics schools generally only have Phd programs and awards MS
degrees to those students only (no separate MS program). Some compare it to a
MBA, but it's really different. Overall, it's fairly well respected.
