Many of the professors leading the design studios were practitioners and while
providing instruction in design, they were also looking for potential employees.
The interaction of students and instructors in an academic environment coupled
with examples of real life design issues, created a unique opportunity for both
parties to become well acquainted.
I was also provided the opportunity to serve as a Graduate Assistant with a
professor who taught the technologies segment. Having an engineering background
was extremely useful and lended a large amount of credibility while working with
the undergraduates in the Architecture program.
