Ames is a pretty campus town that gets very hot in the summer and very
cold in the winter.Housing is adequate and there is plenty of private as
well as university housing.All housing is affordable . Ames has
intersting restaurants including Greek, Middle Eastern, Mexican , Pizza
and American Food Restaurants. There are a few bars and dance floor also
in town. The Cyride bus service is great if you don't have a car. It is
a safe town and you can walk in the middle of the night without any
trouble. The university gym is great.
