The admissions process is pretty straight-forward. Applicants need to
submit a completed application, 3 recommendation letters, a GRE score,
an essay, and a portfolio if the applicant has previous design
background. The unique thing about this school is the fact that it has
an official foundations program geared for people who do not have a
background in design, but would like to pursue a design degree. This is
one year, high-intense program that covers what you need to know about
design before beginning the main masters track. Although the
requirements indicate meeting a certain GRE score, the student body
consists of high achievers that generally score well above the minimum
requirements. The student body is extremely diverse. Students come
from countries all over the world and all over the U.S. The ages of
students also vary, with students that just completed their
undergraduate degree to students that may have over 15 years of work
experience.
