On-campus there really wasn't much life. There were occasional live
bands, plays, festivals, etc. but it rained too much for outdoor
activities. There was one place, The Depot, which served mediocre food
and was open until 9pm. Most people went out vs. staying on campus for
entertainment. There is a square downtown with a few shabby bars we used
to hang out at. Most of these were either old-people redneck'y white-
trash bars or jock bars. I didn't fit in well down there except for a
couple places. There are some good places to eat in town, and rarely
overpriced. I never joined any clubs or frats, so wouldn't know about
that one.
