It's a superb place to live aesthetically. Fantasic restaurants
especically.
But unfortunately I'd never go back to Boston because it is so
extraordinarily tribal. The typical man-on-the-street is Provincial
with a capital P, and he's likely also mean, racist, and badly educated
(more irony there if you didn't notice). Yep, Boston is more Jim Crow
than the Deep South, where I've also spent time, and it's not pretty. I
still can't get over how the cradle of the American Revolution is such a
stinkhole for bigotry.
It's also snobsville. Man, you want to tell these Bostonians to go live
in New York for a while, get rid of the attitude.
But I'm just venting. If you can ignore the more harrowing elements,
it's a fantastic place to live, and school will keep you more than busy
enough.
