The admissions process is thorough and well-administered. The on-line
application from the University Graduate School Graduate Admissions
Office (http://www.fiu.edu/gradadm/forms/grad_application.pdf) and
webpage for obtaining information and other forms
(http://www.fiu.edu/gradadm/index_high.html) is clearly documented and
provides sufficient contacts for all of the Colleges and Schools, etc.
Graduate catalogues, financial assistance, and scholarship sources are
found here as well. Admissions interviews vary according to
department, program, and level of degree, and an essay on one's future
scholastic goals is generally a standardized requirement. Selectivity
is impossible for me to gauge.
