| Full Time MA in Management and Organizational Communication |
The social life at Emerson was great, but that was due more to the kind
of people one ran into in one's classes than anything else. Since it
does not have a well-defined campus, communication among departments is
fragmented, so students frequently do not know of events taking place.
This meant that interdepartmental interaction was at a minimum.
However, there were plenty of interesting people within one's own
department -- the initiative for creating social events was left up to
the students themselves, though. The active film and theater
departments always had interesting flyers soliciting volunteers for
projects, and the school's location was ideal for bar hopping with
classmates after class. The department did organize regular
departmental parties at nearby clubs, but again this contributed to the
general sense of isolation from the rest of the school.
