Internship opportunities are good at Emerson. The Career Services Departement is
active, and they have numerous fairs, etc. However, the majority of these,
unfortunately, are peopled by recruiters and staffing companies. It would be
helpful if Emerson were to target larger enployers for career fairs, emphasizing
the unusual talents of the average Emerdon Grad.
They have a plethora of career placement resources, but without the contacts and
recognition of the big name schools. If you are the type to pick and choose your
opportunities from the options they provide and then run with it, their
department would have a lot to offer you. However, with online career resources
available to all and sundry, the resources at Career Services have less of an
edge.
