Career prospects are good when the economy is doing well in the US. But I am now
back in Canada and have been here for over 6 months and have not been able to
find a career related employment. There was some campus recruiting during the
dot.com boom. I don't know how it is now though. As for prestige with employers,
most of the new grads are hired into technician positions and then you can branch
from there. I have had problems dealing with the career placement resources as of
late. They are now only helping new grads at each campus and refer the alumni to
one of two people out of Keller Graduate School in Chicago. Don't really provide
much help if you are not in the USA. I am asuming because they don't know the
market up here in Canada!!!
