Ithaca is a small, beautiful town, about 5 hours drive from New York
City. Housing and all other campus facilities are first class. The only
real problem is the climate. It is cold, intensely cold. The weather is
so bad that you won't want to walk anywhere very often. Even going to
the market or dry cleaners is difficult. The constant lack of sunlight
definitely affects ones mood. I was told that Ithaca gets about 40% of
the available sunshine per year.
