A degree from a top universtity always open the door to many places, but is not
always easy to get a job in certain areas where the graduates of the program more
interest have. Specially when looking positions at top academic centers, the
letters of recommendation from the faculty become critical, and in many
instances, faculty would accept to write you a letter, but the recommendation is
so poor that it actually impairs your chances of getting a job. In general, just
the stellar students would get good letters of recommendation for academic
positions, and the rest of all are practically left on our own to surface the
academic job market.
