Since I was a grad student living off campus, not much of this is known
by me. However, there is an extensive Greek system in place there and
it's really active, both socially and service-wise. There are a number of
easily accessible bars, clubs, and restaurants within safe walking
distance, and the variety is broad. There are many church/mosque/temple
related services on or near campus.
The social calendar is full, and there's something for everyone. The
biggest thing is the CWRU Film Society, which is WAY MORE than just a
group that shows a film now and then. Truly great events are planned,
including classics, foreign films, contemporary stuff, 24 hour (or longer
) marathons like sci-fi or horror, etc. Outside of SoCal, no school does
film better.
