Not overly rigorous. I applied for a research program and was required
to submit a dissertation proposal, two letters of recommendation, and a
completed application. I think the letters are extremely important,
particularly letters from academics known to the faculty. In addition,
a specific proposal utilizing resources avaialble in the University
Library at Cambridge is paramount.
