Requirements: to enter an Italian university an Italian secondary school
diploma (??maturit????), or equivalent, is required: a diploma that
entitles the student to attend a faculty of economics or law under local
regulations. Final acceptance and enrolment at Bocconi University is
completed upon presentation of a certified diploma, called ??Declaration
of Value??. This validation of the student??s diploma must be done by the
Italian Embassy/Consulate in the country where the diploma originates
from (no matter in which country the school is located - Example: German
Abitur-Diploma from a German School in France - validation by Italian
Consulate in Germany). IB-/EB-Diploma is recognised as valid for entry
to Bocconi, and has to be certified by the Italian Consulate in Geneva,
Switzerland. An IB-Diploma received from one of the schools listed by
the Italian Ministry of Education can be legalised as an
Italian ??maturit????. For further information you should contact IBO, the
Italian Consulate in Geneva, or the Italian Ministry for Universities
and Research, MIUR. Please note that IB Certificates are not sufficient
as entry qualification to an Italian university. As for US High School
Diploma Italian regulation requires further 2 years of college and
admission to the third year, or one year of college and admission to the
second year plus 4 Advanced Placement Tests. For further information you
should contact the Italian Embassy/Consulate in the USA. Any secondary
school diploma received after less than 12 years of schooling (including
elementary, middle and secondary school) is not valid for entry to an
Italian university. The European Diploma is considered a foreign diploma
if it is obtained abroad. Candidates who wish to enter one of English-
language programs need to submit one of the following English-language
certificates:
?? Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE), or
?? Cambridge Business English Certificate 2 (with oral component) (BEC
2), or
?? IELTS (min. score 6,5 of 9), or
?? TOEFL valid certificate with score of at least 550 out of 677 (paper

?? Cambridge certificate in Advanced English (CAE), or
?? Cambridge certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), or
?? Secondary school diploma, taught in English and valid for admission to
an Italian university, or
?? English native speaker status
The University Admission Committee reserves the right to evaluate the
validity of other certifications of English proficiency. All
international students enrolled must undergo a test of their knowledge
of Italian, aimed at better targeting the Italian language courses
offered by Bocconi.
After pre-registration (generally allowable during the month of July)
and before the selection test (generally held in September), the
