The Mfg Eng Tech program is on the ASU-East campus at Williams Gateway
Airport in East Mesa, Az. Williams Gateway Airport used to be Williams
Field AFB so the university was able to reuse a lot of the old military
buildings and housing. Some of the officer's dorms and duplexes are used
for student housing so it is like a small city. The student population
is small but also includes a community college, but it is expected to
grow quickly. ASU just started building a new Student Union building on
campus. Williams Gateway Airport is out in farm land, but there is a
large shopping area a few miles north. You need a car to get around. ASU
provides a shuttle service between campuses but there is no public
transportation out to the ASU-East campus.
