It's hard NOT to have a social life at Yale. You are bound to meet
people you like very early on and you will soon learn that what you do
outside of classes is as important to you as the classes themselves.
The administration provides a lot of funding for social events, which
are usually organized by the residential colleges. Life outside of
class at Yale revolves around intramurals and performances of all
kinds, whether it be singing, dancing or theatre groups. On any given
night, you can probably find a dining hall with a performance going
on. And afterwards, a cast party. There are also some famous campus-
wide parties, such as the Stiles and Morse Casino Night, which is
arguably one of the best college parties in the country. All in all,
if you want to, you will find a social outlet which will make your day
every day at Yale. And if you'd like to see some extra-curricular
group that doens't exist yet, you can start one. You will most likely
get funding from the school.
In my four years at Yale, I actually never met a Yalie who did not love
the school. I dare you to find one!
