- On-campus housing in the Yale Residential College system is one of the best
parts of the experience. - there are almost 20 Dining Halls with differing
qualities. - The quality of housing and life outside the university is limited,
as the city of New Haven is neither particularly safe nor exciting. There have
been considerable improvements since 1999, though. - The University facilities
are awesome and include Polo stables, the USA's largest College gym facility, the
USA's largest college Tennis facility, Golf courses, theaters, great orchestras
and arts colletions etc etc... Yale more than makes up for the city's lack of
beauty and offerings. - One caveat: While downtown New Haven is very accessible
by foot and bike, shopping opportunities are limited if you do not have a car.
