All said, the campus is quite quaint. The university is starting to
tear down the housing that exists around campus that gives it the feel
of its own small city within a city and erecting bland apartment
complexes. The atmosphere socially is falling off due to this as well.
Safety is something that needs to be addressed. There were far too many
malicious crimes happening to students on campus by non-students to call
it a safe campus. Security needs to be increased at times when these
crimes take place, typically on weekend nights. The academic facilities
are definitely being upgraded with Hollenbeck Hall the new home for the
humanities and the brand new Kuss Center for the sciences. The athletic
facilities have fallen way behind other comparable schools.
