The admissions office was very helpful in answering questions and
connecting me with current students for a "real" perspective on
Williams. Many students are admitted Early Decision, and you should
know that it is quite competitive. You will be held over for
consideration with the regular pool if you don't get in ED, however.
I applied Regulard Decision, primarily because of financial aid
concerns - I wanted to see my full picture before accepting anywhere.
The Financial Aid office did everything they could to help me attend
Williams. They had a strong influence on my decision, because they were
willing to meet the packages of other schools that had accepted me.
The Admissions office always includes a few recent graduates, generally
with great mix of backgrounds, so you can get a pretty good sense of
different experiences at the school.
My one critique would be the lack of outreach to schools/areas that are
less likely to produce Williams students. I had to go out of my way in
the beginning to find the school.
