It is generally speaking a liberal university, though it has very good business and computer science departments. The social life was the best, too good at times. There were always dorm functions, off campus housing parties, the city of Bellingham five minutes away as well as weekend drives to Vancouver or Seattle for fun. Yet the campus sat apart on the hill and this made for an excellent social life among the students.
