Wellesley's quality of life is pretty amazing. The 500 acre campus with
its beautiful buildings (excluding a few modern monstrosities) and lake
Waban looks like a resort. The housing has been compared by visiting
students to a hotel: not just clean and functional, like many dorms,
but modern, spacious, and cool. The dining services are very good -
different dishes every night, desserts, a large selection, etc. The
campus is very safe; the college police force is notoriously vigilant,
even to the extent of accosting male relatives of students who are
walking alone and questioning them. The town of Wellesley is too
upscale for students, unfortunately, but inexpensive dining and shopping
options are available and increasing (Au Bon Pain, the Gap, Bruegger's
Bagels, etc.).
