A Wellesley degree opens doors EVERYWHERE, socially, personally and
professionally. Alum get into the top grad schools, get the best internships and
career positions at top corporations, consulting firm, government entities,
nonprofits and educational institutions, here and abroad. Not only do we get the
best internships, we get funded for them...we don't usually have to find our own
funding like students from other schools. There is EXTENSIVE career recruiting
EVERY year no matter how 'bad' the economy is. Wellesley women rarely find
themselves out of work...although we don't always get the jobs we want because it
is a liberal arts program and many employers still devalue these degrees no
matter what school they're from. But we fare substantially better than students
from nearly every other school; only students from a handful of schools compete
with Wellesley students and Wellesley students are members of the Ivy Network
meaning the same recruiters that go to Harvard and MIT go to Wellesley. Overall,
Wellesley women leave the College sure, confident and feeling like they can
achieve anything...and, as we can see, they generally do.
