Washburn is really a different type of school. The majority of the
students have full time or at least part time jobs away from school so
you'll find a lot of students that work full time and take classes in
the evenings. Washburn does offer housing, although the majority of
the students opt for apartments off campus or live at home with the
parents. There is a small Greek community, but I never got involved in
that so I'm not much of an expert there. I found Washburn a little
more of a challenge to meet people since alot of them are non
traditional students and work 40 hours plus school or have other
committments making their lives much busier than the normal college
student.
