Wagner College also has a mentorship program in addition to it's job &
internship opportunities. The mentors, personal career coaches, give back to the
Wagner College Community. They assist students with networking, determining
career goals and providing information quickly, accurately, and detailed about
particular industries that can not be obtained from Internet or job listings.
Career Coaches are also useful in assisting students in well defining the pros &
cons of their targeted profession & understand the qualifications, skills,
strengths, and attributes needed to succeed. The program is designed to link
current students with alumni & friends by adding a practical dimension to
students theoretical learning, to gain an overall comprehension of how their
educational experiences relate to their career choices.

www.wagner.edu and the link is Career Development. Then click the highlighted

Currently, companies like "Valley National Bank" is recruiting Accounting,
Business, Finance, Economics, and Marketing majors for the Management Associate
Program. Morgan Stanley is recruiting college students who are majoring in
Accounting or any related Business field who have at least a 3.0 G.P.A. and PC
skills in spreadsheeting for the Institutional Finance and Operations
Infrastrusture Summer Internship Program. Price Waterhouse Coopers is promoting
their Summer 2004 Tax Internship Program, while JP Morgan Chase markets their
Internal Consulting Services Program (ICS). MetLife Financial Services is another
company who is recruiting Financial Service Representatives, who sell financial
products, life insurance, health insurance, group benefit plans, annuities,
mutual funds and automobile and homeowners insurance.
"Career Placement" is an integral role of the "Career Development". This is a
process that begins during the First Year in the Experiential Program. During
this process students connect classroom learning with the larger world like
connecting with schools, organizations, and community groups, which enable them
to have interaction on a regular basis. More or less, the students place
themselves in their own jobs by choosing a major and during the Experential
Learning Program they network with various organizations within their fields and
from there they can take an intership within their major while still in school so
when they graduate they have real work experience in their fiels already. Some
companies offer students a position while interning when they become a post-grad.
