Out of 2,500 applications, the Office of Admissions, only selects 2/3 to
be enrolled. Students from 60 different majors, minors and
concentrations are enrolled and from more than 38 states and 15
countries. Wagner College seeks out students who are not only diversely
talented academically but those who have a divine interest in their own
personal success.
Prospective Undergraduate Students can opt to apply on-line via the
Admissions link or visit the college and meet with an Admission staff
member for an informal gathering or a formal interview and take a tour
with a current student. Those who are interested in obtaining more
information about the college but can not visit can call to speak with
an admissions counselor at 800-221-1010 or 718-390-3411.
Essays are not mentioned as part of the Wagner College Undergraduate
Student selection process but I had to write an essay prior to my
acceptance into Wagner College. The essay discussed topics like "Why
did I want to come to Wagner College and which program was I interested
in enrolling and why." The only other form that Wagner requires
prospective students to fill out aside from the "Common Application
Form" is the "Common Application Supplement". The Supplement
specifically asks the student "What their significant reasons are for
interest in Wagner College." This is the only thing that comes near to
an essay.
