Internship opportunities are limited within the Nashville area, but the
Vanderbilt name will definitely help to get an internship throughout the country.
Vanderbilt has a network that provides internship listings for positions across
the U.S. The Human and Organizational Development has additional resources to
assist students in finding internships.
On-campus recruiting is highly organized and thorough. Many, many employers
come to Vanderbilt seeking new recruits. As is true of the composition of the
student body, over half of the positions available are in the South. Economics
majors seem to have the most options available immediately after graduation with
many banks and consulting and investment firms recruiting at Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt students having difficulty finding a job can go through mock
interviews, have their resume reviewed, or receive additional advice from a
career center counselor.
