Your only social life will most likely be with those who you are going
to school with due to the fact that you will not have that much time to
socialize with those outside of school. The school is located in
Yaletown which is a very interesting and artsy type of area within the
city of Vancouver. There are a lot of different ethnic restaurants
nearby which one can hopefully squeeze in some time to eat at! (I'm not
kidding here). I am not sure about the dating scene since I was far too
busy to even think about it. There is also a cafeteria in the building
whereby you can grab a quick snack which comes in quite handy at times.
After hours there are a lot of different clubs but I wouldn't bother
with them until after you have finished school. It does occur to me to
mention that one should be rather careful if one is a woman (as I am)
who is going to or from the school at night or within the early hours of
the morning due to the possibility of having to deal with the various
antics of some beggars and/or drunks that one might run into. I don't
mean to be negative here but it does present A CONCERN. Now that we are
on the subject of drunks etc. the school will NOT tolerate any type of
drugs or booze being consumed on the premises!!. If you are found to be
under the influence of either of these two things you will find that
your school life is swiftly terminated without recourse. This happened
to two other students whilst I was there and as a result their prescence
at the school was rather NON existent afterwards, and I am really not
sure whether they ever got any of their tuition fees back again!
