| Full-time Undergraduate program |
There's much to do in Seattle if you're willing to spend money. Of
course, there are some places that give student discounts and such. It
takes about 10 mins to go downtown. The bus system is very easy to
use, and everyone pretty much uses the bus or drives to school. There
are lots of clubs on campus, and there are activities going on year-
round. UVillage, Ave, and downtown Seattle are popular places to
visit. There are many good ethnic cheap restaurants on the Ave. If
you want a nicer restaurant, you should go to UVillage. UVillage is
very close to campus, within walking distance. If you're into theater,
there are many great productions on campus and off campus. There is
also improv theater if you're interested in that, which is very very
close to campus. Lots of students go there on the weekends. There are
lots of sporting events going on, Husky football, Mariners...student
groups and discounts. It's quite nice. In the winter, there are many
groups that go up to the mountains to go skiing or snowboarding. Greek
row is always busy with parties and social events. It seems like every
other person is in the Greek system. But since the university is so
huge and diverse, you will definitely find people to connect with, as
long as you're willing to go out there and meet people. And if it's
possible to have done all this and be bored, you can always go up to
Canada (Vancouver, Victoria Islands, etc.) where the drinking age is
19.
