Again, being distance learning, we did not have the campus feel but where always linked to the main campus. We had all of the opportunities afforded the main campus students for online offerings. The campus had a student rep in each class, each semester. They were a resource person and the liason to the university. The university would also send out a rep from administration, each semester, to meet the students to help make us feel more connected. It was encouraged, when we graduated, to make the trip to IL to "walk" with our classmates. While I didn't walk, I do feel that I was certainly a part of the class, if I had chosen to do so. I also understand that the distance learners are recognized specifically during the ceremonies.
