After the first couple of years, many students choose to live in one of the many nearby neighborhoods (Los Feliz, Silverlake, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Mid-Wilshire area) and commute to school. Due to proximity to campus, on and off campus the apartments can be somewhat expensive, but the convenience of being walking distance to school is worth the money. However, if you have a car and can drive to school it's worth to live in one of the other neighborhoods mentioned above, to experience the full LA scene.
