The school life was split between a campus on the hill and a beach scene
5 mi away. The campus was immaculately maintained and there were every
imaginable convenience. The food was good at all the facilities, and
the RA's were lenient enough that we had plenty of fun the dorms. We
never had any real problems w/ alcohol or violence, in part due to the
campus saftey patrol and their guarding of the two frosh girls' dorms.
Parking was hard to find and the permits were expensive, but you did not
need a car, since almost every other person had one already. Campus
housing personnel were not all that accomodating when it came time to
get new accomodations mid year, and you were always in a lottery to get
the choice rooms/apt's, which was annoying if you did not pull a good
number. We had a tram for a less than 1 mi campus, which was only usful
if you were late for class or lazy... or drunk, so take that bit for
what it's worth.
