Wharton Undergraduate Penn is intensely greek so if you're not interested in that, be prepared. Tons of great bars and restaurants --besides New York, Philadelphia is the city of great restaurants by far. However, if you are not rich (though if you are at Penn you probably are,) then this is a moot point for you cause the good restaurants are never cheap. No dating scene--you hook up or you marry the person you meet, very little in between. Clubs are popular with students, I think they're sketchy. Penn truly is very social compared to other Ivies but again, beware--its a Greek based system and after freshman year, you may get very sick of it. There are a lot of people NOT in the greek system but these people generally dont party much in general. (Well, their idea of partying is pretty lukewarm.) Its very difficult to find people interested in the city life--they exist but they are few and far between. Also, Penn is NOT diverse, although it is more diverse then, say, Princeton, etc.
