Penn has a very nice campus. The buildings are gorgeous and have a
historical feel about them. They have tried to keep the area green and
clean.
Even though it is in the city, it has a very campusy feeling about it
which gives students the best of both worlds. West Philly used to be
notorious for high crime levels 10 years ago, but is a upcoming area of
Philly now and crime has gone down a lot. On-campus housing is not bad.
They could be maintained better but there is a feeling of community
within each of the college houses. Hill House is especially known for
creating a bond between its residents.
Dining has improved recently but students still have a tendency to get
off the meal-plans after freshman year because of all the other
available food options in the city and on campus.
