Given the business focus at practical Penn, there are many companies who come to recruit Penn grads, mostly from the East Coast. Investment banking, consulting and major corporate jobs are the preferred jobs for most Wharton grads, while the College kids also tend to be very pre-professional (many go to med or law school). Penn tends to produce fewer "pure" academics who go on to pursue academia since I think the culture of the school encourages application.
