Admission & Application Survey
Full-time Undergraduate Program Admissions is a highly selective process but applying early decision gives you a huge edge. Average SAT scores are about 1350 so if you have around that much with a solid GPA (around 3.5 and above), good recommendations and a well written essay, you have a good shot. However, the lower the SAT score the more reason to apply early. Despite the popular belief that the essays are never really read, a good essay can be a deciding factor in your admission. They are constantly looking for individuals with some creativity so any kind of activity that makes you "different" should be highlighted. Penn is also one of those schools that thrives on their students being "analytical" so a good grade in Math is one of the strongest assets you can have, especially when applying to Wharton (pretty much mandatory) or even an economics degree.
