| Full-time undergraduate program |
I applied to the Huntsman International Studies and Business program (a
joint-degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and the
Wharton School of Business). It only required one additional essay
beyond the two standard essays. However qualified candidates must also
demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language, so they tested your
language skills via a guidance counselor at your high school. The
program is fairly selective - there are only 40 students in the ISB
program per class, and typically several hundred students apply.
The requirements for admission are standard: decent GPA, good essays and
SAT scores, and solid school activities. I also had an interview with a
Penn alum, who was very helpful in giving me a sense of the Penn
environment.
