Socials tend to be either within one's own college or University wide,
with contacts normally made through sport. Sport is a massive part of
life in Oxford, without which I do not think I would have met half of
the people I know. There are many bars, restaurants and student clubs. I
think that all interests are catered for in Oxford.
Each college tends to have it's own sporting teams, dining and drinking
societies and social events.
There are University wide secret societies, which one cannot apply to
but it merely invited to join once one has shown oneself to be a good
fellow
