Social life it great! In the fall it revolves around football. 100% of
the student body attends football games on Saturday. With such a
football oriented community comes tailgating and lots of parties.
In general there is always a party to go to, whether it be on campus or
at a friend's off campus place. There are also many annual block
parties hosted by students off campus.
The bars in the area are typical dives but the are some of the best I
have ever been to. You always know everyone, the music is a great mix
of all time hits (including the fight song), and the drinks are dirt
cheap.
The restaurants in town are typical chains that you can find anywhere.
There are a few local gems including CJs (best burgers) and Fiddler's
Hearth (Irish Pub with authentic Irish food).
The ND campus is also always alive with events that have been going on
annually for decades. Such as the Fisher Regatta and Bengal Bouts
(boxing match to raise money for missions) For this reason almost every
student goes to campus events. Also, everyone belongs to many clubs.
