The on-campus housing is pretty typical. It ranges from old, ivy covered brick buildings to newer, cement high rises. There is a living option for everyone. I had no problems finding off-campus housing when the time came for that. Compared to Boston or NYC, the rents near UMass are really reasonable, and the free bus system really helps.
