I do not recall to much about the overall admisions process, but I do
have one piece of very important advice for any student planning on
attending Umass with an interest in Business. If you apply for the
school of management out of high school, you will find it the best
descision of maybe your undergraduate career. Out of high school I
appliied with not the greatest grades in the world, an 83 average and a
70 class rank, yes I was part of a rather smart class. I did go an meet
with an SOM adviser when I visited the campus, I do not know whether
this helped or not, but it worked for me. Then I applied to the school
and the School of Management and recieved the letter saying I have
gotten in. To get in the School of Management as a current student you
need a 3.7, to even be considered you need a 3.5. That will give you an
idea of why applying out of high school is so important.
