The social scene at maryland is adequate. There are 4 bars that are fun
on the weekdays and weekends. Tuesday nights are big at Sante Fe and
thursdays are huge at bentleys. One thing to keep in mind, Maryland is
only 7 miles from DC, so it is a quick trip with a car to places like
Georgetown and Dupont. Also, Maryland's greek scene is still strong but
is not the only thing on campus. It is still possible to have a great
social life and not be involved with greek life. One of the great things
about maryland is its student body. It is so diverse. So, it is only a
matter of time before you meet people who have the same interests as you.
The restaurant scene at maryland is much better than it was 2-3 years
ago. The food selection is better and the restaurants are nicer.
However, CP still lacks diversity in terms of food. However, you will
never run out of options if you want chinese, pizza or wings.
